Power From the People
Right to Vote, suppressed
Right to Assemble, clubbed
Right to Protest, gassed
Freedom of Speech, beaten
Freedom of the Press, enemy
Freedom of Religion, theocracy
Power to PAC, unlimited
Power to Tax, unrepresented
Power to Lie, unashamed
Power to Cheat, unafraid
We hold these truths to be self evident
Equal, if you are white
Life, otherwise at risk
Liberty, sold to be safe
Happiness, as a vassal
We mutually pledge
Our lives, lost to endless war
Our fortunes, owned by one percent
Our sacred honor, defiled by hate, fear, lies
A new rebirth of freedom
Government of the People, Gone
Government by the People, Denied
Government for the People, Sold
I pledge allegiance
One nation, divided
Under God, theirs
Liberty, compromised
Justice, corrupted
For all, wealthy
We the People, powerless
