Lee Wing Tung (LWT) | Player One Speaks to the Mirror

Player One Speaks to the Mirror

[player one] why did you make me go through it all? all the mistakes I made. all the choices I made. all the things that happened. all that made my life more painful.

  1. so that you could be stronger afterwards.
  2. so that your love would be more consuming.
  3. so that you could be truly devastated by art.
  4. so that you could be truly devastated to make art.
  5. was there a purpose?

[ǝuo ɹǝʎɐld] I don’t think there was a purpose.
[player one] then what was it for?

  1. I don’t know.
  2. I don’t know.
  3. I don’t know.

[ǝuo ɹǝʎɐld] I don’t know.
[ǝuo ɹǝʎɐld] can’t things just happen?
[player one] but why me? what did I do? what have I done to deserve it? why is it the moment I get
something good, it is taken away?

  1. good things never last.
  2. bad things never last either.
  3. only death and grief and love is everlasting.

[ǝuo ɹǝʎɐld] bad things never last either.
[player one] it doesn’t feel like it.

  1. good things never last.
  2. bad things never last either.
  3. only death and grief and love is everlasting.

[ǝuo ɹǝʎɐld] only death and grief and love is everlasting. and you are everlasting. you will last longer than
you are alive, because you loved and you are loved and you grieved and you will be grieved.
[player one] good things never last. bad things never last.
[ǝuo ɹǝʎɐld] what is left?
[player one] you. me.
[ǝuo ɹǝʎɐld] us. and we last.
